About Us
Plants of the Wild, a division of Seeds Inc., was started in 1979 with a goal of providing quality native plant material for restoration and reclamation projects. We are nestled deep in the heart of the Inland Northwest, located in eastern Washington State, just outside of the town of Tekoa.
The land that surrounds the facility is called the Palouse, which is known for its growing potential. Many varieties of grasses and grains are cultivated in this area and shipped all over the world. The atmosphere in the rural community is one of earnest workmanship and attention to detail, and the same goes in our facility. Pride and workmanship combine to create a friendly environment for you, the customer.
Our nursery specializes in plants that are native to the Pacific Northwest. Plants of the Wild provides container grown seedlings, and prides itself in a long history of propagating and producing species that are difficult to produce. In recent years there has been a steady increase in popularity of naturalized landscaping and low maintenance, water conserving landscapes. This trend has led the nursery to evolve over the years to include production of larger container grown natives to meet the needs of Landscape and Retail Nursery Industries. Plants of the Wild strives to provide large numbers of plant materials for the larger reclamation projects, while also providing smaller quantities of plants for the homeowner's landscape.
